VELUX Atika is a concept house that puts the focus on high-quality dwellings created by an intelligent interplay between contemporary architecture, healthy indoor climate, innovative energy solutions and optimum daylight conditions. Atika is a typical one-family dwelling, 100 sqm with bedroom with adjoining closet and bathroom, a living room with kitchen and entrance hall. The house is built around a patio accessible from all rooms.
Atika was launched in October 2006 in Getxo harbour in Bilbao as an integral part of the hospitality programme for the VELUX 5 OCEANS race. From summer of 2007 it will travel first to Madrid and hereafter to other southern European cities to inspire new development perspectives for housing. Please check the calendar for details.
